Lay Organization

If you are interested in the history of the church and its ideals, joining the lay organization is a great way to engage that interest. The Lay Organization is an organization within the church that is tasked with instilling a love and appreciation for the history, traditions, and principles of African Methodism; advocating respect for and loyalty to constituted authority; encouraging the support of the total program of Saint James AME Church; fostering systemic and regular study of the Doctrine and Discipline, which will provide greater knowledge and information among the laity, and organizing and training lay members concerning the goals and objectives of the Connectional Lay Organization.
